There’s no denying the fact that no other mask, gel or ingredient can get you the results that a simple flaxseed gel can get you. It gives you soft and shiny hair, promotes hair growth, nourishes the hair, does not dry your hair out at all, and is absolutely natural. You can also make your own flaxseed gel, which is surprisingly cost effective.
- 2 cups of water
- ¼ or ½ cup of flax seed (linseed) – depending on the thickness you want
- 1 tablespoon Aloe Vera gel
- 3 drops of essential oil
- You can also add other oils (optional)
Instructions to Prepare: Pour ½ cup of flaxseed in a pot and add 2 cups of water. Bring it to boil on low or medium heat, occasionally stirring with a wooden spoon. The mixture should turn into a gel-like form and should resemble the consistency that a raw egg white has. Stir continuously, allowing it to simmer. Take a separate bowl and place a strainer on top of it. Pour the mixture into it and let it cool down, then add Aloe Vera gel and essential oil of your choice. Use the gel on clean and damp hair. Store the remaining mixture in your fridge. You can store it for up to 12 - 14 months.
